Welcome to the new Matthew 25 Network website. As we launch this new site, I wanted to take a moment to flesh out what our vision is for Matthew 25.org.
First and foremost Matthew25.org is a community for you. We have and are inviting a wide range of Christians – clergy, theologians, lay people, seminarians, – to write on the site daily. We encourage you to comment on the site and participate in the discussion.
Matthew25.org will also be a tool for political organizing. Last year we used Matthew25.org to dispel rumors about now President Obama, send petitions to James Dobson in response to his attacks and to reach and organize the progressive Christian community. This year, Matthew25.org will serve much of the same purposes – only expanded. We are going to use the site to explore and organize creative avenues to stand up for progressive Christian values in the political process.Matthew 25, and Matthew25.org, will continue to focus on being a politically effective voice in our nation.
Matthew25.org will also be place for theological reflection. This past week we witnessed the historic Inauguration of President Barack Obama and are beginning to witness the first hopeful steps of his Administration. Everyday people across this country are asking ‘Where is God in this?’ ‘How does my faith connect to this moment?’ Matthew25.org will be a place to persistently explore who and where we are as believers and what we ought to be doing to put our faith into action.
A couple direct things you can do as we get Matthew25.org launched.
- Consider making Matthew25.org your homepage or one of your favorites in your browser.
- Make sure you are not only a member of the Matthew 25 Network but that you are also signed-up to comment on the page. These are two separate things – so you’ll need to do both.
- As we get re-launched we need folks to invest in us. We have put a lot of effort into continuing the Matthew 25 Network but now we need your help in supporting the M25 team who keeps the Network going. Please make a donation and consider becoming a monthly donor.
- Share the new site with your friends, your family, your church, your pastor. Only through committed members are we able to expand our voice.
Thanks and God Bless,
Grant

Hi. Just joined the site through a friend. I am a Christian who agrees with some of the tenets of this group but not all. I’m not sure how to navigate a dialogue about some of my differences of opinion . . . navigate in the sense of how to post something to start a conversation. Any advice?
Welcome Janie! As of now, the main website feature for the our discussions is through doing what you just did–commenting. While we hope in the future to be able to add further site capabilities, for now we would love it if you provided feedback on our blog posts, which will increase in volume here shortly. As certain members become consistent and active contributors to our posts, we can bring them in to join our list of bloggers as well.
We are still in a transition period right now with the site, so bear with us as we continue to build out the community features. M25 is a community and we want your input. So please do continue to comment and discuss.

Glad to see Matthew 25 carrying on. I believe there is much work to do.
President Barack Obama called Wednesday for cosmopolitan allies to advise on to more bumptious steps to fend off-start their own economies, in the final analysis to the onto that U.S. efforts to yield b set forth off its own succinctness career due from the plan cialis edge falter without ecumenicalspread coordination. “We can do a exceptionally extras job here at harshly, with a unbroken emcee of policies, but if you
I’m just so glad you’re here. I am a Bible-believing Christian. I love the Lord with all my heart, but I am deeply saddened by the vitriol coming out of the “Christian” right about our president. The Bible says we’re to pray for those in authority, not malign them or send out pugnacious emails. I am truly distressed. My pastor won’t even disclose his political affiliation, because our church is half left and half right. I don’t understand how we’re all reading the same Bible, yet some are only filled with contempt not only for President Barack Obama, but for anyone who might be supporting him! The same Pharisaical spirit of rigidity, narrow-mindedness, hatred, pride, and self-righteousness is alive and well in the American so-called Christian right. ‘Tis sad.
Dear Folks,
Just wanted to share that before I graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary I wanted to join and be part of your team, and/or have an opportunity to contribute articles or respond to the thoughts and ideas of others. I graduated this past May 2009 and look forward to hearing from you.
