Welcome to the new Matthew 25 Network website. As we launch this new site, I wanted to take a moment to flesh out what our vision is for Matthew 25.org.

First and foremost Matthew25.org is a community for you. We have and are inviting a wide range of Christians – clergy, theologians, lay people, seminarians, – to write on the site daily. We encourage you to comment on the site and participate in the discussion.

Matthew25.org will also be a tool for political organizing. Last year we used Matthew25.org to dispel rumors about now President Obama, send petitions to James Dobson in response to his attacks and to reach and organize the progressive Christian community. This year, Matthew25.org will serve much of the same purposes – only expanded. We are going to use the site to explore and organize creative avenues to stand up for progressive Christian values in the political process.Matthew 25, and Matthew25.org, will continue to focus on being a politically effective voice in our nation.

Matthew25.org will also be place for theological reflection. This past week we witnessed the historic Inauguration of President Barack Obama and are beginning to witness the first hopeful steps of his Administration. Everyday people across this country are asking ‘Where is God in this?’ ‘How does my faith connect to this moment?’ Matthew25.org will be a place to persistently explore who and where we are as believers and what we ought to be doing to put our faith into action.

A couple direct things you can do as we get Matthew25.org launched.

- Consider making Matthew25.org your homepage or one of your favorites in your browser.

- Make sure you are not only a member of the Matthew 25 Network but that you are also signed-up to comment on the page. These are two separate things – so you’ll need to do both.

- As we get re-launched we need folks to invest in us. We have put a lot of effort into continuing the Matthew 25 Network but now we need your help in supporting the M25 team who keeps the Network going. Please make a donation and consider becoming a monthly donor.

- Share the new site with your friends, your family, your church, your pastor. Only through committed members are we able to expand our voice.

Thanks and God Bless,

Grant
